I have a doll that I got as a child made in 1947 or 1948. I've always been told it was a Madame Alexander doll but can find only "made in USA" on her back and a '14' on the back of her head. It resembles other MA dolls I've seen but those always have a mark of some type on them. She is attached by hooks and rubber bands that make her legs, arms, and head attach (they have since rotted out so she's in pieces right now) 14" tall
