This toy airplane depicts a Lockheed Constellation US Navy Military Air Transport plane and was available from Sears Roebuck (other places?) during the late 1950's. I seem to recall the descriptive heading "Little Giants of the Air" in the Sears Catalog that referred to this and other planes pictured. The plane, both battery and friction powered, was produced by Marx (Mar Line, Marline).
