Obviously, removing components -- or reducing the salvage potential of the Mac, the less I will be willing to offer.

I prefer someone who knows (educated idea) what problem they experienced that rendered their G5 useless... or at least know the symptoms.

IE, if you know about a coolant leak, dead logic board, etc. Tell me. I may still buy.
