Small brown stuffed bear - Dakin?

This is a bear my daughter received (used) as a gift, was lost, and I have not had any luck in finding a replacement. His tag was worn and I never tried to read it. I don't think I realized he had one till I saw it in photos. He's ~6" long, black plastic eyes and stitched loops for his nose. My mother (who gave it to my daughter) believes he is a Dakin. Any info would be appreciated, and of course the actual bear would be just wonderful.
